Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Jamrz application (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

About the Service

Jamrz is a multiplayer music trivia game. Players join rooms, listen to song snippets, and compete by guessing details about each track. The App integrates with third-party music streaming services to provide playback during gameplay.

Account Terms

• Registration — you may create an account by signing in with Discord or Google. You may also play as a guest with limited functionality. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• Accuracy — you agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You must not impersonate another person or use a misleading display name.
• Age requirement — you must be at least 13 years old to use Jamrz. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• One account per person — each individual may maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or manipulate leaderboards is prohibited.

Music Streaming & Third-Party Services

Jamrz integrates with Spotify and Apple Music to enable full-length song playback during games. To use full playback features, you must have your own active, paid subscription to the respective streaming service. Jamrz does not provide, bundle, or subsidise any music streaming subscription.

Without a linked streaming account, the App falls back to short preview clips where available. Jamrz is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify, Apple, or any music streaming provider. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other players
• Use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate display names or profile images
• Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate game outcomes or leaderboards
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the App without authorisation
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App, except where permitted by law
• Interfere with or disrupt the App’s servers, networks, or infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts or data

Violation of these rules may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of your account at our sole discretion.

In-App Purchases & Refunds

Jamrz operates on a freemium model. A selection of music trivia categories is available for free. Additional category packs and premium content may be purchased through in-app purchases via Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS), processed by RevenueCat. Some premium categories may also be unlocked for a single game after you choose to watch and complete a rewarded ad.

• Pricing — all prices are displayed in your local currency within the app before purchase. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
• Entitlements — purchased content is tied to your Jamrz account and syncs across devices when you are signed in.
• Refunds — all purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be directed to the respective platform in accordance with their refund policies. Jamrz does not process refunds directly.
• No real-money value — purchased content, ad-unlocked categories, and any in-app items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be traded, sold, or transferred outside of the App.

Intellectual Property

The Jamrz name, logo, visual design, game mechanics, and all original content within the App are the intellectual property of Jamrz and its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.

All music, song metadata, album artwork, and audio content accessed through the App are the property of their respective rights holders. Jamrz does not claim ownership of any third-party music content. Playback is provided through licensed integrations with Spotify and Apple Music and through publicly available preview clips.

User Content

“User Content” includes display names, profile images, and any other content you provide through the App. You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant Jamrz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute your User Content within the App for the purpose of providing the service (for example, showing your display name on leaderboards).

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using Jamrz at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, your account data, game history, friends, achievements, and music service links will be removed from our database.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. In the event of termination, you will lose access to any purchased content, and no refund will be issued for prior purchases.

Disclaimers

Jamrz is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Music playback availability depends on your streaming service subscription, regional licensing, and the availability of preview clips from third-party providers. We do not guarantee that any particular song, album, or category will always be available for play.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jamrz and its creators, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Jamrz in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ten euros (€10), whichever is greater.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Netherlands. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App or via the email associated with your account. Your continued use of Jamrz after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
